Wet and Gamey

We spent the morning at the pool at the resort (after deciding that it was probably way too crowded to head to one of the water parks as late as we were finally ready to head that way). After this Lizzie pleaser, we headed to the Magic Kingdom, just as it started to rain. Ponchos in hand, we proceeded on, convinced the rain would pass. We grabbed FastPasses for Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and then grabbed some food right there in Tomorrowland. Appetites somewhat satisfied, we took in the Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor (always a favorite) and then Stitch's Great Escape!. Then it was time for our FastPass and even that line was long as it was now raining pretty steadily and people were hopping in line for things that were indoor attractions. Lizzie by now has figured out where it is in the rides that pictures are being made, so she posed like a champion in Buzz Lightyear. Or should I say posed like a peace loving duck?

Maury was way more interested in hitting more targets to even think about posing. Apparently Steve was, too.

After the ride, we took a walk in the rain to the new Fantasyland just to see what all was there. Disney is clearly trying to do some things like Universal has done at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and I think they have done a great job (as Disney always does). We hope to try the restaurant there, Be Our Guest, which provides counter service with seating in a more than ordinary setting...here, made to look like rooms in The Beast's castle and The Beast even roams around the dining rooms from time to time. I also noticed that they provided more room in this part of the park than some of the other areas of the Magic Kingdom have. I'm sure Disney had no idea how many people would cram into the streets of the Magic Kingdom when it was first built and the other parks have more room for people to move. This new area has learned that lesson.

We called it a day at that point and decided to head to Downtown Disney to try to get a meal and then to go to Disney Quest, a five story area that is filled with video games and other interactive activities. I'll not go into the details that led to us walking around ALL of Downtown Disney before landing right back at Disney Quest deciding to eat at the snack bar there (duh). I think we spent most of our time at the area on the fifth floor where they have tons of classic games like Donkey Kong, Centipede and Street Fighter as well as pinball machines and skee ball. We closed the place down and had to peel the boys away from a Terminator game. Seek God, Love People, Live in Hope, Kill All the Cyborgs.
