Still a baby

I can't believe that a little girl who acts like (thinks she is) a teenager most of the time is still losing baby teeth, but she is.

Goofy
Steve and Maury had had a nice day to themselves yesterday tooling around Auburn after they dropped Lizzie off with her Aunt Beth. (She is spending a couple of nights with Beth and all the girls...oh, Uncle Andy, too.) Steve was telling me about their day while Maury was in his swimming lesson. The boy is interesting, I'm telling you. Here are a couple of tales from the day:
Maury was playing his DS and was pumping himself up, "Yeah, I can do this. This isn't hard." Then, a click as he shuts off the game, "But it
was scary." Which reminds me of another thing he says. He has Super Mario Brothers and the cartridge says "Super Mario Bros". So, he calls it "Mario Bros" but he pronounces it "braws".
Just because Maury likes to bowl doesn't mean that he knows what he is doing or that his ADHD takes a holiday when he does it. Steve took him to our old haunt, Auburn Bowl, for a couple of games. At least three times, Maury threw the ball down the lane before the pin rack was up. He must be aiming using the arrows on the floor, then, right? As if.

Maury's Party

This year, for the first time in a long time (like, probably since Lizzie turned two and Maury turned 4), the kids are having separate birthday parties. Last Saturday was Maury's actual birthday and actual party date. Maury decided to have a Cosmic Bowling party.

After the party was over and we were getting our things together, the kids went to play in the game room. It almost appears that Wii Carnival alley ball skills translate to real skee ball skills because Maury is pretty good at it.

Overheard
I'm sorry I said "butt". Nana says it's in four taste.
