Divide and conquer
Yesterday started out like most days...with a trip to the pool. Steve stayed in the room to finish up an article for the church newsletter and I took the kids down to the pool. Afterwards, we headed out for a late lunch (like 2 p.m. late) at Sticky Fingers and then to hit a couple of different things to please each kid.Maury and Steve went to NASCAR Speedpark.
Lizzie and I went to Broadway on the Beach to shop. At Broadway on the Beach, we found a KISS Coffeehouse (really weird). We also found two perfect shirts for Maury ("I Put Ketchup on my Ketchup") and Steve ("Who are these kids and why do they keep calling me dad?"). Steve says the one we got him will be his summer-outing-with-the-kids shirt. Lizzie bought a few things at Claire's, which is one of her favorite stores.
After we got back home, we decided to go to the beach. It was all in the shade of the buildings and the sun was going down. Maury and Steve had a lot of fun withe body boards and Lizzie had less fun trying to build a sand castle in the soft sand (the hard sand was under the water of high tide).
It was a fun day, but late when we got off the beach. We just grabbed some Burger King for the kids for dinner and called it a night.
Today: Le Grand Cirque Adrenaline.
